BLEACH MOVIE 3 FADE TO BLACK I CALL YOUR NAME FINALLY RELEASE

The movie opens with Mayuri Kurotsuchi in his laboratory, being attacked by a mysterious scythe. Stumbling, he accidentally hits a control panel, triggering a massive explosion of reiatsu that envelopes the entirety of Seireitei in a cocoon-like substance. Kenpachi Zaraki hurries, only to witness the disaster; the explosion destroys Seireitei and causes amnesia in all shinigami residing there.

Rukia, who was away from Seireitei and therefore safe from this incident, is attacked by the same scythe. As it hurtles towards her, she feels something inside her vanish; Rukia's heart and memories have been stolen. Meanwhile, in the human world, Ichigo senses danger, and he realizes that Rukia's existence had vanished from his mind for a moment. Kon, on the other hand, reveals another coded letter from Rukia, similar to the one she left before leaving to be executed in Soul Society.

Ichigo and Kon visit Kisuke Urahara's store, only to discover that he, too, has completely forgotten Rukia. However, they do learn from him that a part of Seireitei was destroyed, and there may be a relation. Ichigo remarks Rukia as "a precious comrade", earning a smirk from Urahara, who opens a gate to the Soul Society.

Meanwhile, Rukia finds herself in a small cabin in the 78th district of Rukongai, Inuzuri, where she (along with Renji Abarai) was brought up in her childhood. She then finds two "siblings" beside her, calling her name and welcoming her with joy. When Rukia asks who they are, they reply saying that she had promised to give them names a long time ago. Both ask for her to give them their names. Rukia tries to remember and does recall having taken care of the siblings in the same cabin, but cannot remember the names. Having forgotten her time and status as a shinigami, she then questions what she had been doing, at which the siblings answer that she had been sleeping for a very long time.

Ichigo, now in Seireitei, is confronted by many shinigami (including Renji) who proceed to attack him after seeing him accidentally release his Vizard form. When intruding the Kuchiki mansion, Ichigo finds Byakuya Kuchiki staring at the picture of his late wife, Hisana Kuchiki, who informs him that Hisana was raised in Inuzuri. Thanking him, Ichigo hurries to Inuzuri, detects Rukia by her smell, and finds her at the roof of the cabin, looking over at her friends' graves.

Upon seeing Ichigo, Rukia questions his identity, claiming not to know him. A shocked Ichigo replies, "It's me, Ichigo! Don't tell me you don't remember!" Rukia tries to remember him, but just when her memories would start to return, a severe headache stops her from remembering, and she is taken away by the siblings. In the cabin afterwards, she asks the sister if she had been, in fact awake, and not sleeping, as the siblings claimed, at which she earned the answer that they did not know. Rukia collapses once again right before she remembered something and holds her head, panting in agony, and is taken away by the siblings again.

Ichigo is seen sitting elsewhere, apparently in a bad mood. Kon inquires whether or not he is sad that Rukia has forgotten him, earning an irritated response in a form of a strike. He points out that Ichigo is strongly connected to Rukia, simply by being the only shinigami who still remembers her. He leaves, and Ichigo, still thinking, pulls out Rukia’s letter. He then has a flashback in which Rukia is writing a letter, which she refuses to let him see, claiming it was a “surprise for later.”

Later, he is seen fighting again, against Tōshirō Hitsugaya, Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa. Hitsugaya is about to deal the final blow when Renji intervenes, arguing that his soul feels that Ichigo is not the enemy. However, upon hearing Ichigo call him (out of habit), he is quickly angered and warns him not to call him by his first name, though in vain. Several captains enter the fight to battle Ichigo and Renji, but are interrupted by Urahara and Yoruichi Shihōin. Urahara urges Ichigo and Renji to leave to save Rukia.

To find Rukia, they must use a kidou, which relies on the bond between Ichigo and Rukia. First Renji is doubtful, but Ichigo is determined that it will succeed. When the technique is activated, a transparent red thread is shown, which connects Ichigo and Rukia, and through it Ichigo is able to locate her.

Rukia wakes up to find herself in Mayuri's laboratory, with the twin siblings working on something. They claim that they plan to destroy all those who try to take Rukia from them, and ask her why she wants to protect the shinigami. Their conversation is interrupted by a wall, broken down by the arriving Renji and Ichigo on Zabimaru in bankai. Rukia finally remembers Renji, and Ichigo urges her to remember more, stating that the Rukia he knows would never lose herself in such a way.

The siblings, disturbed, tries to convince Rukia to leave. Rukia, however, instead asks him to repeat his name, at which her memories return and she chokes out the name Ichigo. The sister declares that she would never forgive Ichigo for trying to steal Rukia from them. She then proceeds to wish that she, her brother, and Rukia will become one, and it is granted, resulting in a twisted form of Rukia (picture above), referred to as "Dark Rukia" in the trailers. Renji deals with any other enemies for Ichigo, leaving him to do whatever necessary for "that woman."

Ichigo is forced to fight Rukia, but never attempts to actually attack her, instead only evading her attacks. He desperately asks her to remember, earning a reply that Rukia will erase her memories of him, destroying their bond. Ichigo, however, retorts that as long as he remembers her, the bond can never be broken." Dark Rukia is almost at the point of decapitating Ichigo, when she is interfered by Byakuya's kidō. Byakuya and Renji inform Ichigo that Rukia is turning into a Hollow and must be destroyed.

Ichigo refuses, emphasizing on his bond with Rukia again, to which Byakuya replies that he may do as he wishes, and breaks the kidō and steps out. Dark Rukia immediately rushes to Ichigo again, but Ichigo states that it is his turn to give her power this time, much as she had done on their first day of meeting. He stabs her with Zangetsu, and gives her his power. With this, Rukia transforms back to a shinigami, and immediately collapses to his arms. He hugs her with one arm, as all other shinigami apparently regain their lost memories.

When Rukia finally comes back to her senses, she brushes Ichigo's hand away from her face. Ichigo greets her, before she turns to the injured siblings. The two siblings complain that they have no one else besides Rukia. Rukia consoles them, telling them that they have each other, and she then names them "Homari" and "Shizuku." The siblings lose conscience and fade from sight, leaving Rukia crying and calling out their names. This scene is more than likely tied to the title of the movie.

In the final scenes, Rukia is seen on top of a hill, reading at a letter given to her by the twins. Ichigo enters, and is questioned if he is going home, to which he answers yes. Rukia tells him that he saved her, at which Ichigo replies, saying that it was none other than her that saved him first, and he suggests that they were connected even before they met, and that their bond was based on that connection as well as their memories. He bids her farewell, addressing her as a "shinigami", to which she replies: "It's not shinigami. It's Rukia Kuchiki," the very words she had said to him at perhaps the most important moment of the storyline of Bleach, and the marking of its beginning.

konpaku

Biography:
PERSONALITY -
Arrogant and loud, Kon often tries to pick fights with Ichigo when in his plushie form, though often leading to great failure. He is perhaps the most perverted character in the series, having oggled Orihime's chest and kissed Tatsuki on the cheek while in Ichigo's body, as well as try to use his cuteness to his advantage with Orihime and the other classmates of Ichigo. Most notably, he seems to be in love with Rukia, possibly due to the fact that both she and him live in Ichigo's cloest together for the while portion of the series. His actions and personality serve as comic relief for most of the story, and most of what he does cannot be considered serious, though his perverse actions often get him stomped on by Rukia.

ABILITIES -
All Artifical Souls are created with a unique ability; Kon's was superior leg power, enabling long jumps and fast running speed. He is quite happy with that ability, and thinks it the best one of all possible skills one could possess, especially when in a human form when it can be used to it's upmost. He was able to fend off Ichigo, as a Shinigami, in combat by using just kicks and blocking with his legs, and later used his kick to push a giant hollow out of the way when it threatened to crush some children. In his plushie form, He can run 100 metres in 3.8 seconds and, in Ichigo's body, jump over 13 metres high.

NAME -
Kon translates to mean "Soul" while his full given name, Kaizo Konpaku, comes out to mean "Modified Soul". His name is absolutely literal in what it means, and leaves little to no explanation necessary.
matsumoto rangiku

Biography:
Making her first appearance as a very bothered Vice-Captain in the meeting called for all Vice-Captains, Rangiku may strike many males as one of the better looking females of Soul Society’s top echelons, even if the major reason being her cleavage.

Nevertheless, during the report, she gains an attitude of seriousness that immediately sets the record straight – she will do her duty whenever needed, and back it up with a serious attitude and her combat skills if need be.

She is also the one who holds Hinamori Momo after her little skirmish with Kira Izuru, when her Captain, Hitsugaya Toushirou orders them arrested. She then had a little conversation with Hinamori while the latter was being kept in the 5th Squad cells and handed her a letter addressed to her by Aizen, that Hitsugaya had found in Aizen’s room.

A scene before the escape of the three Vice-Captains, Hinamori, Kira and Abarai Renji, tells us a little about Rangiku’s history. When young, she was about to die of starvation when a boy hands her something to eat. That boy, Ichimaru Gin, saved her life, and for that she is forever grateful to him, even going so far as to like him.

Later, when Hitsugaya faces off with Ichimaru Gin, she stops Ichimaru’s blade from killing an unconscious Hinamori, thus saving Hinamori’s life. It is then that she wonders where Ichimaru will go from there. While thus occupied with their own thoughts, a message comes via a hell butterfly for them stating that the execution of Kuchiki Rukia was being pushed forward. Hitsugaya, determined to get to the bottom of the matter, realizes that the only way to do so would be to stop the execution. He thus orders Rangiku to follow him to Center 46, where they make the shocking discovery later that the entire Center 46 has been massacred.

Following Kira’s bait, Hitsugaya later returns to Center 46 upon being told that Hinamori had been following them. When Hitsugaya leaves, Kira releases his own Zanpakutou to fight against Rangiku who had been ordered to continue the chase. Despite blocking Kira’s attacks, the ability of Kira’s Zanpakutou doubles her weapon’s weight seven times, forcing her to release her own Zanpakutou. She defeats him and then learns of the truth behind Center 46.

When she arrives at the Sougyoku, she holds Ichimaru’s arm and places her Zanpakutou on his neck, asking him not to move and effectively placing him under arrest. When the Gillian’s Negashion comes down to save Ichimaru however, she releases her hold upon him. Ichimaru then expresses his regret that she could have held onto him a little longer, and that he was sorry. He then bids her a farewell.

Later, Rangiku is dismayed over this turn of events, but when Kira turns up to apologize to her, she asks him to forget everything, and to join her in a revelry of sake which ends up with all of them being drunk.

Rangiku is now in the living world, having just fought off an Arrancar by lifting the limit that is placed upon all Vice-Captains and Captains and their spirit power when they enter the living world. She currently resides with Inoue Orihime.

Character:
Rangiku is a fun woman at heart, and this shows when she is not embarrassed to talk about her cleavage openly, especially in the scene where Hitsugaya brings Kira to her for the latter’s apology. Her serious side for duty and work also shows through her dedication to follow her Captain and solve the mystery behind Rukia’s execution, and also to attempt to stop Ichimaru despite her liking for him. Truly a good mix of the fun and the serious, Rangiku also loves looking pretty, and, of course, she has the beauty deserving of praise, even aside from her cleavage.

kuchiki rukia

Biography
CHARACTER HISTORY -
Rukia's history begins in Soul Society, as a child growing up in one of the poorer districts. She had been abandoned as a baby by her older sister, Hisana, and was taken in and taken care of until she was old enough to fend for herself. Her early life is defined by the company she kept, which included Lieutenant Renji Abarai, as they grew up stealing water in order to survive. of all their friends, they were the only two to live to see their teenage years, opting to join the Shinigami academy for a chance at a better life.

Though Renji appeared to be the better student, Rukia found herself with a powerful connection she never knew she had; her older sister, having regreted abandoning the infant Rukia, had implored to her husband, Byakuya Kuchiki, that he find and raise Rukia as his sister. Byakuya obeyed the deathbed request of his bride, adopting Rukia into his noble clan, with the additional offer of early graduation. Thus was the beginning of Rukia's career as a Shinigami, assigned to the Thirteenth Division under Jushiro Ukitake; an assignement that would see her far from the front lines where her life would be in greater danger.

There, she formed a bond with the Division Lieutenant, Kaien Shiba, and his wife. Kaien became a true friend to Rukia, while his wife was a role model in grace, beauty, and duty. When Kaien's loved one was killed by a Hollow, Rukia was by her Lieutenant's side as he sought revenge, only to be dealt another tragic hand; she was forced to kill Kaien in self-defenese when the Hollow took possession of his body. This experience would cause her great emotional harm and guilt for many years, making her unable to face the Shiba family in apology.

It is unknwon when she first was assigned the job of defending Karakura Town from Hollows and sending it's Pluses to Soul Society, but it wasn't long enough for her to become aware of the high spiritual powers of Ichigo Kurosaki until the night his home was attacked by a Hollow. There, she was badly injured defending Ichigo from a deadly attack, and transfered her powers to him. From there on, she stayed within a Gigai (False Body) and acted as a guide for Ichigo, who agreed to take over her duties.

This symbiosis would not last long, as Byakuya and Renji were sent to collect Rukia and return her to Soul Society. She went of her own free will, to assure Ichigo's safety in the matter, and was scheduled to be executed due to an elaborate plot by Aizen Sousuke in order to obtain the Hogyoku (Orb of Distortion) that Kisuke Urahara had hidden within her. There, she was saved by Ichigo's attempts, as well as intervention by Byakuya, who was badly injured protecting her from a fatal attack by Gin Ichimaru.

Since then, she has begun to regain her lost Shinigami powers, having been released from the Gigai that Urahara had created to keep her powers drained, and thus keeping Rukia, and the Hogyoku, from detection. She is seen during the Bount Filler arc as having her Kido powers at a much higher level than her restricted form allowed her in the beginning of the series, and as a full fledged Shinigami in the Arrancar Arc.

PERSONALITY -
Rukia is a proud indivdual, taking advantage to appear as high and mighty when she is more knowledgable of something than another person; among Ichigo and friends, this is often having to do with Spirits, while with Renji, it is human culture. Despite this attitude, she is surprisingly naive to many things, such as how to put a straw in a juice box. Her love of rabbit themed items is well known, as she often draws pictures portraying their form, and even hugged into a rabbit shaped purse worn by Orihime Inoue as she shouted declarations of love for it's appearance.

ABILITIES -
Rukia is seen to excel in Kido, or Demon Arts, and employs them for most of the series, as she is unable to use her Zanpakutou until the Arrancar Arc. Her knowledge is competent in both Binding and Destructive Arts, and she is shown to perform them with a degree of flexibility, making far jumps or evasions as she performs them. It is also known that she is capable of using Flash Step, though her skill is unknown due to lack of comparison alongside other users.

Her Zanpakutou is known as Sode no Shirayuki (Sleeve of White Snow) and is considered to be the most beautiful of it's kind in Soul Society, released by the trigger word "Mae" (Dance). The entire blade is white, and includes a sash attached to it's hilt, which is employed in one of it's abilities, Some no Mai, Tsukishiro (First Dance, White Moon) which freeze everything within the circle, created by her sash, from the ground up. This command also also implies that her possesses more, as of yet unknown abilities. It is unknown at this time if Rukia has a Bankai in her possession, but it is likely that she does not.

NAME -
The kanji in her name translates as "rotten wood" which can be seen in two ways. One could refer to her humble beginnings in a poor neighborhood, before her rise to nobility. The second is the fact that she spent so long with her full potential sealed away by her Gigai, essentially rotting away at the foundation of her strength by draining her Spiritual Power for so long. Either of these are open to arguement, as they are only possible thoughts.
inue orihime
Ability: Orihime’s continued encounters with Ichigo in his shinigami form unsealed her own natural powers – the Shun Shun Rika, or Shield of Six Dancing Flowers. Six little creatures that come from her hairpins have the ability to shield, heal, and attack. Their standard appearance is as tiny flying objects. However, when Orihime needs to, they revert to a more human form. Their names are Tsubaki, Hinagiku, Baigon, Lily, Shonou, and Ayame. Hinagiku, Baigon, and Lily create an “outer shield” to repel attacks, and Shonou and Ayame create an “inner shield” that repels damage done in a limited area, and Tsubaki breaks into the enemy to set up a shield inside and split them in two.

Orihime needs to call the names of the ones she needs and yell “I reject!” after yelling the incantation “Santen Kesshun” for the outer shield, “Souten Kishun” for the inner shield, and “Koten Zanshun” for the attack. Her real strength lies in using the inner and outer shields. She lacks the heart to truly use Tsubaki to his full potential.

Biography:
Inoue Orihime is introduced as a quirky, large breasted classmate of Kurosaki Ichigo. She has long reddish-brown hair held back from her face with two flower clips. We first see her in chapter two, when she notices that Ichigo isn’t in school. It is quickly discovered that Orihime has a serious crush on Ichigo, and her best friend Arisawa Tatsuki encourages her to pursue him, despite the fact that it is suspected that Tatsuki has feelings for Ichigo as well.

Almost immediately after Orihime’s introduction, she becomes sucked into Ichigo’s newly complicated world of ghosts and hollows. Her brother, who died several years ago at Ichigo’s family’s clinic, has remained on this plane watching Orihime. When he was alive, he was more of a father to her than anything else. The first three years of Orihime’s life were spent under her older brother’s watchful eye in their abusive parents’ home. As soon as Kakei turned eighteen, he took Orihime with him and they lived together. They almost never argued, but the day that they did, Orihime didn’t say goodbye to him when he left for work, and that was the day he died. She was twelve years old and she dragged him to the Kurosaki Clinic. Ichigo was the one who opened the door for her.

Kakei became a hollow after Orihime slowly stopped praying for him and just jabbered on about Tatsuki and Ichigo. He was jealous of them, and missed the time when her heart belonged to him. He tried to kill her, but Ichigo saved her. However, her soul had been forced from her body, and she saw Ichigo in his shinigami form. Once Kakei’s hollow form was defeated, Rukia healed Orihime and Tatsuki and used her memory replacement device to make them forget the incident.

However, Ichigo’s constant presence in Orihime’s life has had profound effects on her spiritual energy. This is first revealed in the Don Kanonji episode, when she hears the cry of the demi-hollow attached to the hospital Kanonji is “exorcising.”

Later, when Ishida attracts the hollows, Orihime, Chizuru, and Tatsuki are hanging out and a window breaks mysteriously. The three of them are assigned to clean up the glass, when Orihime notices a hollow on top of a building. She realizes there’s something weird about it, and urges them to hurry. However, the hollow attacks them. Chizuru is the first victim, and through the hollow’s power, she is forced attack Orihime. Tatsuki saves her, only to become the second victim. Orihime is overwhelmed with the desire to protect Tatsuki, because Tatsuki was the first one to protect her after her brother died, and the Shun Shun Rika are released.

When Rukia disappears to the Soul Society, the only people to notice her disappearance are Ichigo, Chad, Ishida, and Orihime. When Ichigo decides he’s going to save Rukia, Orihime looks sad, but she knows she can’t talk him out of it, and instead offers to help in any way she can. Not long after that, Orihime and Chad are offered to be trained by Yoruichi, a black cat who can talk.

Before she leaves for Soul Society, she changes her bangs. Tatsuki notices and asks her why. Orihime just says she felt it was time for change. After ten days of training, the Orihime and Chad are ready to go, and are sent notes by Urahara to meet up at the Shoten. Ichigo meets the two of them, along with Ishida, who has undergone his own training.

Orihime saves them all in the passage to Soul Society by using her shield, though she is scolded by Yoruichi for the act because she could’ve died, Ichigo defends her because she saved them all. When Jidanbou’s arm is cut off by Third Division Captain Ichimaru Gin, Orihime works for several hours straight in order to reattach the arm. At Shiba Kuukaku’s, she is the only one who can create a perfect cannon ball. While in Soul Society, Orihime is the only one to not get injured or imprisoned. At the beginning she is with Ishida, and gets the idea to steal shinigami robes to blend in after they are attacked by Jiroubo the Kamaitachi. In that battle, she tries to use Tsubaki, but her will to fight isn’t strong enough, and Tsubaki is repelled and injured. He returns to her hair pin, but his section is cracked.

She continues to look for Rukia with Ishida until he is confronted with Twelfth Division Captain Kurotshuchi Mayuri. He tells her to run, but she refuses. He then tells the Eleventh Division grunt shinigami saved by Orihime to take her no matter what. She bites him, and as a result he knocks her out by accident. He winds up running into his captain, Zaraki Kenpachi. Kenpachi wants to find Ichigo, so he has her ride on his back with Yachiru and the three of them, along with Aramaki Makizou, Madarame Ikkaku, and Ayasegawa Yumichika, free Shiba Ganju, Ishida, and Chad, and head towards Soukyoku Hill.

Orihime is the one who heals Ichigo after the mess with Aizen. The Fourth Division has appeared on the scene to heal the others who need it, and the third seat is the one who notices that Orihime’s power isn’t really healing, but manipulating time so that it’s as if the injuries were never there at all. When Ishida makes new clothes for all of them, including Rukia, Orihime misinterprets Ishida’s feelings and assumes that he likes Rukia, when it appears that he has a crush on Orihime. Back in the material world, when she and Chad are confronted with the Arrankar, Chad’s arm is cut off and Orihime tries to hold them off until Ichigo arrives, and Tsubaki is crushed. His condition is yet unknown. After they are all rescued by Yoruichi and Urahara, she sends Shonou and Ayame to reattach Chad’s arm.

In the aftermath of that incident, she refuses Ichigo’s apology because she can’t stand to see him so sad. When Rukia returns, Orihime thanks her for bringing Ichigo’s confidence back, but later that night she admits to Matsumoto, who is crashing at her apartment, that she is insanely jealous of the effect Rukia’s presence has on Ichigo and feels horrible for it. Matsumoto tells her it’s natural to be jealous, and to not worry about it.

Orihime is one of the most innocent characters of Bleach, along with one of the ones with the biggest breasts. This gains her a lot of unwanted attention that she doesn’t recognize, but Tatsuki does, and works her hardest to protect Orihime.

Orihime realizes the debt she owes to so many people and wants to get stronger to protect them. She knows what it’s like to feel alone, and she doesn’t want anyone to ever feel like that. She’s loving and nurturing, and wants the best for everyone.

Ishida Uryuu

CHARACTER HISTORY
-
As a child, Ishida was trained in the natural born powers he had inherited from his ancestors. His grandfather, Soken, taught the young boy his hertitage, as Uryu's father, Ryuken, did not practice the ways of the Quincy, finding no profit in such a venture. Ishida developed a natural hatred of Shinigami, when they arrived too late to assist his grandfather against a Hollow attack, causing both distrust and disgust with Soul Society.

Ichigo Kurosaki was originally oblivious to his Uryu's existance, though Ishida could sense the power of Ichigo, and was able to see the spirit thread of a Shinigami once Kurosaki had become one. Within school, he has the highest academic standing, as well as being part of the after school Handicraft's Club allongside Orihime. His skill is considered so great, that the girl's will often bring their stuffed animals for him to repair, and has become the stitcher for the damaged animal body of Kon.

While first seeing each other with animosity, due to their polar opposite views and powers, Ichigo and Ishida eventually come to see one another as a potentially powerful ally, and even depend on the other when in a pinch. Uryu has even become a casual member of Kurosaki's in-school clique on scattered occassions. While their personality and opinions continue to clash from time to time, they are more repsectful of each others view.

During the Soul Society Arc, Uryu displayed great power and ability, even going as far as to lose his Quincy powers for the briefest moment to surpass the strength of a Shinigami's Bankai; that of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, who had conducted experiments on Ishida's grandfather and many other Quincy. He would go on through the Bount filler arc without any powers, but his intelligence made him an important part of the team.

As the Arrancar Arc continues on, we know that Ryuken, Uryu's father, has taken it upon himself to help restore his son's Quincy Abilities. They were both training in a life or death struggle, which ended with mentally and physically exhausted Uryu, who was then hit exactly 19 mm right of his heart with a spirit arrow. This formed an X Shaped scar on his chest that would bring his Quincy power's back to full use.

PERSONALITY -
Uryu is a compassionate person, though he doesn't like to be thought of that way, much perferring to be seen as a silent, cool guy. Often in situations where he comes to help, he will make an excuse about simply being nearby, though his rambling often gives him away as he blabs the whole story. He is a convicted young man, willing to die for a cause, but it is unknown if he is willing to do the same for another person. A lack of affection from his father, and the death of a mother early in life would render him much more cold than most, and closing off his heart to others for the most part. Though he appears as a loner, he is willing to be social with others if asked, but is not one to intrude where he is not invited.

ABILITIES -
As a member of the Quincy, Ishida inherited his power's genetically from his father, like his father before him. Quincy are seen as destroyers, who completely eliminate Hollows, unlike the Shinigami who purify them and either send them to Soul Society or to Hell. Because of this, they cause great spiritual imbalances by taking many souls out of the process of death and rebirth.

The signature ability of the Quincy is the formation of a bow made of spiritual energy, and arrows made of the same substance. Rather than obtain this power from within themselves, they draw spirit energy in the atmosphere to form solid objects; the skill of the Quincy means greater result. The use of the Sanrei Glove is also used to increase the ability to gather energy, as well as compress the bow into a more solid form. Removal of this glove after it is master will result in a n overflow of power for a short time, followed by the loss of power completely.

Another of the Quincy powers is called Hirenkyaku, and is roughly the equal of the Shinigami's Shunpo. This ability comncentrates spirit energy beaneath the feet of it's user, and propels them with superspeed to their desired location. The Ransotengai, or Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit, is another rare ability of the Quincy, seen in only one out of 2662 studied cases. This ability allows the user to control their body using strings of spirit power, thus allowing them to move even if their limbs have been paralyzed. Given it's obscurity, Ishida can be considered a very skilled Quincy.

Ginto (Silver Tubes) are small silver tubes used to store spiritual energy. They can be used by a Quincy who has lost his powers to perform abilities similar to the Shinigami's Kido by calling out Incantations. Shown abilities include Haizen, a rectangluar cutting beam made using four Ginto; Gritz, used to envelop an opponent in a large symbol to bind them; and Volcore, which creates large blasts used in cushioning impacts.

NAME -
Both Ishida and his father share the common "Ryu" within their name, which may be used as a tie in to their family. Ryuken and his father, in much the same way, share the common "ken" within their name. It may be a tradaitional system within their family to create this sort of tie within their family unit. The name Ishida, can be broken down to form the phase "One Exorcism" which can refer to the fact that no members of the Ishida clan have fought together at one time against the Hollows that they kill.

Hitsugaya Toushirou

Hitsugaya Toushirou is the 10th Squad Captain with Matsumoto Rangiku, one of the eight major female shinigami, as his Vice Captain. Hitsugaya and Hinamori Momo, Vice Captain of 5th Squad, have a history together, as seen in Episode 46 where Hinamori endearingly refers to him as Whitey-chan. At that moment in time as Hinamori was working to become a shinigami, Hitsugaya thought nothing of it because all he wanted was to eat watermelon and for Hinamori to stop calling him Whitey-chan. She told him that if he could be at the same level as she was then she would stop calling him Whitey-chan. Presently he is now seen as a shinigami prodigy because of his achievement of a high rank at such a young age. He can be characterized as somewhat of a take-charge type of character in BLEACH. Upon overhearing a conversation between Ichimaru Gin and 5th Squad Captain Aizen Sousuke he acts on his suspicions warning certain people about the sketchy 3rd Squad (Ichimaru Gin and Kira Izuru).

Hitsugaya’s suspicions seemingly turn into reality when Hinamori wakes up from a night spent at Aizen’s place to discover that he is not there and rushes off to a Vice Captain meeting. She takes a shortcut only to arrive on time to witness Aizen’s corpse situated on a wall with a sword pierced through his upper abdomen causing a trail of blood to run down the entire wall behind him. The situation goes from bad to worse as Ichimaru arrives and Hinamori attempts to attack him because he appeared to be the most likely suspect in this brutal murder. Kira jumps in to protect his superior from Hinamori’s emotional outburst but Hitsugaya intervenes before the two can shikai each other to death. He cares for Hinamori very much which is why he tries to open her eyes to see that her action is most inappropriate at a moment such as this (discovering your leader’s dead body). Toushirou has them both arrested and makes the threat to Gin that if he makes Hinamori spill one drop of blood, he’ll be breathing his last breath. In Episode 36 while Hinamori is in jail Matsumoto pays her a visit and hands her a letter addressed to her from her beloved Captain. Hitsugaya found the letter in Aizen’s quarters and it turned out to be what he was scribing the night that Hinamori paid him a visit. The letter held a warning of things to come and also reveals the schemes and plots of a certain someone among The Gotei 13.

During the absence of the leaders of 5th Squad, Hitsugaya takes over their business and paperwork with the help of Matsumoto Rangiku, his Vice Captain. As they are settled in the Administrative Office word comes from one of their officers that Hinamori has escaped and they suspect that she is hunting down Ichimaru. He goes off to save her not knowing that what Aizen wrote in the letter was that he, Hitsugaya Toushirou, was the one that murdered Captain Aizen. Episode 47 exposes all this and there is a face off between Hitsugaya, Hinamori, and Ichimaru. Hinamori attacks Toushirou as she whole-heartedly believed everything that Aizen wrote because she idolized the man for most of her Death God career. Hitsugaya strikes his confused friend in order to avoid further turmoil and then seeks to keep to his word of killing Gin if he ever made Hinamori spill blood. Episode 48 displays Hitsugaya’s shikai, Hyourinmaru, or Ice Ring as he fights with Ichimaru. The fight ceases when Rangiku appears after feeling the reiatsu of Toushirou’s shi-kai and stops Gin’s attack on Hinamori’s unconscious body.

The letter, we find out, was completely false as it depicted Hitsugaya as the one plotting to destroy Soul Society with the Soukyoku. At this instance Rukia’s execution had been frequently moved up until it will finally take place within 29 hours. Hitsugaya realizes that he needs to take action and he and Matsumoto quickly move to try and prevent the execution.

If you have been following the manga you know that Aizen is not the good guy he appeared to be and yes he is still alive. All this time he was manipulating everyone so that he could get a very important object out of Rukia. Hitsugaya makes an attempt to stop him only to get beaten and stomped on in the end, even when he used his ban-kai. In Chapter 194 Aizen has birthed a newer stronger breed of bad guys called Arankaru, powerful half ex-shinigami, half hollows. Captain Hitsugaya along with Renji, Rangiku, Yumichika, and Ikkaku arrive in the human world and surprise Ichigo at school in Chapter 195. This chapter also marks the return of Rukia. They are here to help fight the inevitable war that is going to happen and while they are at it they will be attending school with everyone!

kurosaki Ichigo

CHARACTER HISTORY:

As the central character of the series, Ichigo's background and character has recieved the most detail and explanation. He was born on July 7 to Isshin and Masaki Kurosaki, and has twin sisters, four years younger than him, named Yuzu and Karin. By the age of three, he had already begun training in the martial arts, leading him to meet Tatsuki Arisawa for the first time. When he was nine years old, his mother was killed by a Hollow named Grand Fisher, who had drawn Ichigo in using devious tactics; he was capable of seeing spirits as clearly as normal people even at such a young age. The result of his mother's loss took a great toll on him, bringing him as far as to blame himself for the event.

By age 15, he had developed a reputation within his school as trouble; his natural hair color became a source of resentment as an oddity in a place that much perferred conformity, and associated him to gang members and other such people. As a result, he works hard to keep his grades, if for nothing more than to spite those teachers who look upon him with negative views. His tough guy attitude, combined with martial arts training and naturally gifted physique, gives him the power to fight to defend himself and those he deems important to him. The high spiritual powers he possesses also leads him to protect the memory of those spirits who linger on, defending their memorial sites from those who didn't show their respect.

Upon meeting Rukia Kuchiki, his mind was exposed to a world he didn't know; that of the Shinigami. becoming a Shinigami through the transfer of Rukia's powers into him, he learned the basics of Soul Society and the powers he possessed, but was struck down by Byakuya Kuchiki, who removed the powers Ichigo had gained with surgical strikes to his body. Under harsh, life threatening circumstances, he regained these powers under the tutelage of Kisuke Urahara, a former Shinigami Captain.

Soul Society played a key role in his development, forcing him into deadly confrontations with opponent's of increasing power. Where he had entered Soul Society as below the level of a Lieutenant, he left there as a Shinigami of high renown, having defeated four Lieutenants, as well as Captains Kenpachi Zaraki and Byakuya Kuchiki, in his short time there. As proof of his skill, he was awarded with a Medallion by Shinigami Captain, Jushiro Ukitake, signifying Kurosaki as a Substitute Shinigami, recognized by Soul Society as an ally and companion.

PERSONALITY:
On first impression, Ichigo live up to his reputation as an anti-social tough guy; while this is much unlike his true personality, he enjoys keeping that lone wolf attribute as far as the public eye is concerned. Only those who he calls friend truly knows the depths of his character, seeing him as determined, compassionate, and driven by the need to do what is right, no matter the personal loss to himself. As a Shinigami, he possesses more endurance than experience, which has led to him toppling the very same people who would scold him for his lack of skill. It is seen that his determination is his true strength, forcing him to push onward where anyone else would quit, and even to surpass his own limitations when the need arises.

Conversely, there is a darker personality at work within him; the Hollow that developed within his soul at the time he gained his Shinigami powers. This part of Ichigo fights with supreme knowledge, equal or greater to a Captain level Shinigami, and the arrogance to match. It does not fight for just cause, but for it's own enjoyment, and could be easily considered the anti-thesis of Ichigo.

ABILITIES:
As a Shinigami, Ichigo possesses extremely high levels of Reiatsu, or Spiritual Power. This can partly be explained by the Hollow within him, which grants him immense power as a desperation tactic in the Soul Society Arc, and later as a short term boost of power after training with the Vaizard. The other source, shown to us as a Ichigo with glowing blue eyes, comes from a yet unknown source. This is believed to be due to his father, a high level Shinigami Captain, and even possibly his mother, who may yet have origins unknown to us.

In battle, Ichigo carries Zangetsu (Translated as "Cutting Moon") as his Zanpakutou. As can be plainly seen, Zangetsu is in a permanent state of Shikai, thus eliminating the need to unseal his weapon before combat. Rather than a typical sheath, the long silk scarf of the handle wraps itself around the blade when placed on the back, and retracts when in combat. It's chief ability is the Getsuga Tensho (Moon Sky-Piercing Fang) which releases a heavy concentration of spiritual energy as an offensive wave. Rather than employ stronger technique, Ichigo simply concentrates further levels of Reiatsu to match up to his enemy's more powerful attacks.

His Bankai, known as Tensa Zangetsu (Chains of Heaven - Cutting Moon), is often underestimated by the enemy, due to the fact that it actually decreases the size of the blade from a giant cleaver to a mere Katana. The weapon's true power, however, lies in it's ability to enhance Ichigo himself. It possesses the same level of power that the Shikai form does, meaning it is still capable of using the same striking force, but is concentrated into a finer form, which also allows Ichigo to run at a speed beyond even Shunpo (Flash Steps.) This speed was even capable of deflecting thousands of multi-angled attacks from the Bankai of Byakuya Kuchiki, a highly respected and powerful Shinigami Captain.

It is known that Ichigo had no formal training in Kido (Demon Arts) and thus is incapable of casting incantations like even basic Shinigami, but was able to self teach himself in the art of Shunpo while training for his Bankai. Shunpo allows for high speed movements, and is employed by most Captain and Lieutenant level Shinigami as a means of evading attacks and reaching distant locations in less time. Using Flash Steps, Ichigo is skilled enough to match even a Captain level for speed.

Ichigo's latest training has been alongside the Vaizard, a group of former Shinigami, who developed the powers of Hollow, much like Ichigo himself did before the Soul SOciety Arc. There, he was able to suppress his Hollow self by facing it in combat, allowing him to begin changing at will and having access to the powers permitted to him. He is only capable of short lengths of time as of yet, but is likely to improve as the story arc continues.

NAME:
Ichigo's first name has been open to debate, as it can mean several things that relate to his character. Officially, chigo's name means "Ichi" for "One" and "Go" for "Protector", as stated by him in episode 21 of the Anime. Other versions would say that his "Ichigo" can translate to "Strawberry", as a reference to his hair, or that the separation of the name into "Ichi" and "Go" can mean "one" and "five"; this can be seen as both his age, and the number that appear on his room door.

The name Kurosaki can be broken down to mean "Dark Destination" which can apply to several things within the series. This can mean Ichigo's battle of wills with his Hollow Self, as well as the fact that his family has met with much difficulty as a result of the spirit world, which took away Ichigo's mother, and constantly threatens his family.
kuchiki byakuya

Kuchiki Byakuya first arrived in Bleach as the silent yet powerful Shinigami sent to Kuraku town alongside Renji to find and bring Rukia back to Soul-Society. His power is immediately made evident when he steps in to aid Renji in his fight with Ichigo ending things in a matter of seconds leaving Ichigo bladeless and lying face down on the ground with what he thought was little hope for survival; and this proves to be only the beginning of his power. Descending from the Kuchiki clan one of the four noble houses of soul society captain of the 6th division Kuchiki Byakuya is also Rukias older brother though they are not related by blood rather, Rukia was adopted in to the Kuchiki family. Because of his noble roots and his superior level of power Byakuya tends to carry himself with a level of arrogance and an I’m-better-than you attitude, this is clearly seen by the quite rude and often times sarcastic manner in which he talks to most people around him. Byakuya is also a shining example of what a shingami should be as he is extremely law-abiding, this devotion to the law is also heightened by the fact that he is a descendant of a noble family to Byakuya it is the responsibility of the Nobles to lead by example if they do not obey the rules of Soul Society then who will. Byakuya is a nobleman to the core and appears to be unflinching in his devotion to his duty even after Rukia has been sentenced to execution. In his mind regardless of whatever conflicts he may have been feeling on the inside his duty as nobleman and a shingami was to uphold the law and word of the 46 chambers; no feelings he may have would be allowed get in the way of his duty as a result of this his outer shell never cracks or shows anything other than his typically cold exterior.

There have only been two occasions when Byakuya stepped out of the bounds of his Noble responsibilities, firstly when he married his wife Hisana and secondly when he adopted Rukia into the Kuchiki family. His marriage to Hisana was looked down upon as she was not of noble descent and in the Kuchiki family the mixing of blood between somebody of a noble house and someone from Rukongai was forbidden, for this same reason it was also frowned upon when Byakuya adopted Rukia into the Kuchiki family. Rukia was the sister of Byakuyas late wife Hisana whom abandoned Rukia when they lived in Rukongai as the responsibility of raising her was too much, this decision was one that Hisana always regretted and on her death bed she asked Byakuya to find her sister and use his power to protect her. He did this by adopting Rukia into the Kuchiki family at which point he swore to himself on his parent’s grave that he would never again break any laws or overstep the bounds of Nobility. Byakuyas Zanpkautos name is Senbon Zakura (thousand cherry blossoms) in its unreleased form looks just like an ordinary Katana. To release his shikai Byakuya uses the simple phrase Shire·(scatter) at which point the blade of his zanpakuto seems to disappear, in actuality the blade has scattered into one thousand blades so small they can only be seen when they reflect the light and appear to twinkle in a manner extremely similar to scattered and falling cherry petals. His Bankai Senbon Zakura Kageyoshi is fundamentally the same as his shikai just with an increased level of power, after dropping his blade into the ground two rows of swords rise out of the ground next to Byakuya at which point the blades scatter again, however, in his bankai attack the sheer volume of the blades and speed of the attack mean that most people cannot even see it coming never mind actually dodging it. Byakuyas bankai also has a final stage Hakuteiken or white imperial blade where he gathers all the scattered blades of Senbon Zakura Kageyoshi and reforms them into a single white blade. But al last, he fall to Ichigo after the horrible fight with Hollow-Ichigo.Byakuya later risked his life to protect Rukia when Gin striked her.Somehow, he survived and continue his life.
